A state-of-the-art 3-Tesla magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner is available at the centre for functional neuroimaging. The centre provides anatomic and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) for patient care and research. Whole-body MRI and brain imaging (T1, T2 weighted, contrast enhanced, FLAIR, diffusion tensor imaging) are available, along with magnetic resonance spectroscopy. The functional imaging experiments are conducted during rest and during task performance. The MRI scanner is equipped with an MR-compatible transcranial magnetic stimulation system, 128-channel electroencephalography, an eye tracker, and dedicated hardware to conduct behavioural and neurophysiological experiments inside the scanner. Overall, the Centre for Functional Neuroimaging has advanced tools to embrace newer neuroimaging technology, techniques, and applications to pioneer novel approaches to human brain imaging.
