    The Department of Biochemistry and Pathology is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. The department is involved in diagnostics, research and teaching. The Centre for Investigational Medicine has the following equipment and machin

    • Fully automated biochemistry analyzers (Olympus AU 680 & Beckman AU 480)– They perform therapeutic drug monitoring of various drugs such as Carbamazepine, Valproic acid, Phenytoin etc.
    • Abbott ARCHITECT PLUS- To analyze various hormones and tumor markers by Chemiluminescence method
    • Automated Hematology Analyzer (Sysmex XT 2000i) – It has 5 parts differential cell counter along with a reticulocyte counter
    • Automated Hematology Analyzer ( Abbott Cell-Dyn Ruby) –It has 5 parts differential cell counter
    • Automated ELISA processor- It is used for conducting ELISA tests for clinical and research purposes
    • Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) readers and washers– It is used for conducting ELISA tests
    • Electrolyte Analyzer– It uses ion selective electrode technology. It is used for detecting the serum levels of Sodium, Potassium, Calcium Lithium
    • Urine chemistry Analyzer (Roche cobas u 411)
    • Semi-auto biochemistry Analyzer (3000 Evolution)
    • Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) Analyzer
    • High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) System & High Performance Thin Layer Chromatography (HPTLC) System- Both the systems are primarily used for research purposes
    • BD BACTECTM 9050 Blood Culture System
