Clinical and Scientific Research 

  1. My MD thesis topic was ‘The Efficacy and Cerebral Hemodynamics of rTMS in Schizophrenia: A randomized placebo controlled study’. My guide was Prof (Dr) S. Haque Nizamie, Director and Professor of Psychiatry. The data collection had lasted for about 1 year. I had generated two research papers based on my thesis work; one of which has been published in an international, indexed journal.
  2. My DPM dissertation Topic was ‘Sexual Dysfunction with Atypical and Typical Antipsychotics: A Comparative Study in Schizophrenia’. My guide was Prof (Dr) S. Haque Nizamie, Director and Professor of Psychiatry. The data collection had lasted for about 1 year. I had generated two research papers based on this work.
  3. Research in epidemiological, social, cognitive and psychological aspects of epilepsy as supervisor at weekly epilepsy clinic run at the Central Institute of Psychiatry.
  4. Cognitive neuroscience research with digital quantitative EEG techniques, e.g., EEG Power spectral estimation, EEG coherence. I have received training in using various modern sophisticated tools like RHYTHM, ASA, MATLAB, BESA, SCAN, CURRY, EBNEURO, EEPROBE, MATHEMATICA etc. I have received training to interpret 32 channel-, 64 channel-, 40 channel-, 128 channel, 192-channel and 256-channel EEG data interpretation.
  5. Research with various EEG source localization techniques using Fast Fourier Transformation, Coherence, Multiple Signal Classification (MUSIC), Low Resolution Tomographic Analysis (LORETA), swLORETA, Dipole Fit Modeling, Compressed Density Spectral Array (CDSA), Principal Component Analysis.
  6. Cognitive neuroscience research with Event Related Potentials (P50, P300, CNV, MRCP, PINV, N400) in both adult and adolescent population.
  7. Research with repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) in both Clinical and scientific research field. Have completed 4 day intensive training course on neuronavigated rTMS sponsored by ANT Inc., Netherlands recently supplemented with robotized coil positioning system
  8. Research with pediatric psychopharmacology, pediatric bipolar disorder and phenomenology in children and adolescents.
